Zoom Meetings

Connect Zoom and LoopGantt adds a Zoom meeting to the meetings you organize. When you choose Zoom as a meeting's video call, LoopGantt creates the meeting in your Zoom account, puts its join link in the meeting, and keeps it up to date.

Before you start

  • You need a LoopGantt account and a Zoom account.
  • Only the person who organizes a meeting connects Zoom. People you invite just use the join link.
  • On the Free plan, Zoom counts as one of your connected apps.

Add the Zoom app

  1. In LoopGantt, click your avatar (top right) and open Settings → Integrations.
  2. In the Zoom row, click Connect.
  3. Sign in to Zoom if asked, review the permissions and click Allow.
  4. You are back in LoopGantt, and the Zoom row says Connected as with your Zoom email.

LoopGantt asks Zoom for permission to create, update, view and delete meetings for you, and to view your Zoom user so it can show which account is connected.

To start every new meeting with Zoom, choose Zoom under "Video call for new meetings" in the Meetings row on the same page. You can still change it on each meeting.

Add Zoom to a meeting

  1. Open a project's Calendar and add a Meeting, or open an existing one.
  2. Under Video, choose Zoom.
  3. Click Save. Within a few seconds the meeting shows a Zoom link and a Join Zoom button.

If Zoom takes longer, the meeting says that a Zoom link will be added when Zoom has made the meeting, and the link appears on its own.

What happens when the meeting changes

You do this in LoopGanttWhat happens in Zoom
Change the title or the timeThe Zoom meeting is updated
Create a repeating meetingOne recurring Zoom meeting, with the same link for every occurrence
Switch the video to another option or to NoneThe Zoom meeting is deleted and its link is removed
Cancel the meetingThe Zoom meeting is deleted

If you delete the meeting in Zoom yourself, LoopGantt removes the old link from the meeting. Save the meeting again to get a new Zoom link.

What LoopGantt shares with Zoom

LoopGantt sends Zoom the meeting title and, for a one-off meeting, its start time, length and time zone. It never sends notes, the people you invite or anything else from your projects. LoopGantt stores the Zoom meeting ID and join link, and keeps the keys Zoom gives it encrypted. It never stores the host start link. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.

Remove the Zoom app

You can remove the app in either place:

  1. In LoopGantt: open Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect in the Zoom row. LoopGantt also cancels its access at Zoom.
  2. In Zoom: sign in at marketplace.zoom.us, open My library (also called Added Apps), and remove LoopGantt.

After you remove it, meetings keep the Zoom links they already have, but LoopGantt stops creating, updating and deleting Zoom meetings. A meeting that is still set to Zoom gets no new link until you connect Zoom again. To have your stored Zoom data deleted, email [email protected].

Troubleshooting

  • "Zoom isn't connected, so this meeting gets no Zoom link." Connect Zoom in Settings → Integrations, then save the meeting again.
  • "Zoom couldn't make this meeting's link." Save the meeting again to try once more.
  • "Zoom didn't give LoopGantt permission to create meetings." Click Connect again and allow every permission on Zoom's page.
  • Still stuck? Email [email protected] and we will help.
