# LoopGantt

> LoopGantt is a free AI-powered Gantt chart maker for project managers, freelancers, and small teams. It generates professional project schedules from natural language descriptions with automatic dependency tracking, critical path analysis, and real-time schedule recalculation. Available as a web app at https://loopgantt.com.

LoopGantt combines AI project generation with a full-featured scheduling engine. Users can describe a project in plain English, choose from 23 industry templates, or build from scratch with drag-and-drop. The scheduler supports all four dependency types (FS, SS, FF, SF), lag/lead time, custom work calendars with holidays, and baseline comparison. Views include Gantt chart, Kanban board, month Calendar, editable Table, project Dashboard and an interactive WBS tree — six views over the same tasks, all synced in real-time. A fully editable no-signup sandbox lives at https://loopgantt.com/demo, and AI assistants can create charts directly through the MCP server (https://loopgantt.com/mcp).

- `POST /api/v1/gantt` — Create a Gantt chart WITHOUT an account (no key): returns a claim link to view/export it (PNG, PDF) plus the computed schedule and critical path. Unclaimed charts expire after 7 days (30 once opened). Rate-limited per network.
- `GET /api/v1/gantt/{token}` — Read the chart behind a claim link (project, tasks, dependencies, schedule); `/image.png` on the same path renders it as a picture
- `POST /api/v1/schedule` — Stateless critical-path scheduling: tasks + dependencies in, dates, critical path and float out (nothing stored, no key)
- `GET /api/v1/templates` and `/api/v1/templates/{slug}` — The industry templates with their task lists (no key)
- **MCP server (remote, no install, no key):** `https://loopgantt.com/api/mcp` — Streamable HTTP. Add it as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to create scheduled Gantt charts from a chat: tools `create_gantt`, `schedule_project`, `list_templates`, `get_template`; prompt `plan_project`.
